Ingredients
- 2 packages Crescent roll dough
- 1 lb sliced deli ham
- 1/2 lb sliced Swiss cheese (packaged or fresh from the deli)
- 1/2 cup Sandwich spread Personally I LOVE the Boars Head Pepperhouse Gourmaise spread, and use it ALOT in my baked pinwheel recipes
- 1/3 cup chopped cilantro
- 1 stick butter
- 2 tbsp Garlic powder
- 1 tbsp poppy seeds
Instructions
- First Preheat oven to 350
- Soften the butter in a microwave safe bowl then mix in the garlic powder & cilantro and set aside
- Next roll out crescent roll dough on a cutting board
- Now evenly spread a generous amount of sandwich spread
- Add cheese on top of spread
- Add Deli Ham
- Roll them and stretch to firmly seal the edge, leaving the ends open
- If the crescent dough has become too soft or "sticky" place in fridge for 15 mins until it gets a little more firm, this makes it WAY more easy to cut before baking
- cut each pinwheel evenly in size, they look small but remember, when they bake they will expand
- Place each pinwheel evenly in a prepared baking dish
- Now spread the softened butter, garlic powder, Cilantro mix on top
- Evenly sprinkle poppy seeds on top
- Bake for 15 mins or until golden brown, TIP: I like to use glass dishes so that I can see the bottom of what Im cooking
