Have you ever wished you could get a white chocolate butterfinger? Yeah, Me too! Have you ever thought of making a butterfinger yourself? Yeah, Me either. I ran across this recipe and NEVER would of guessed making homemade butterfingers could be so easy & so good! I seen that it only took 3 ingredients, I thought to myself, No way its not gonna taste like a real butterfinger, WELL IT DOES! Then when I seen what makes it, I thought, its not gonna have the butterfinger crunch, well it SORTA does. Its not REALLY crunchy but it does have a crunch but it taste exactly like a butterfinger.
Here’s what you will need:
16oz candy corn
16oz Peanut butter
3 cups milk chocolate, white chocolate, or candy melts
First, place the candy corn in a medium size bowl or measuring cup (you may want to use a glass one, TRUST me from expeirence) heat and stir every 30 seconds until completly melted and smooth. Stir in the peanut butter until mixed
Next, On a prepared (lined with foil) pan spread the mixture out and smooth. Place it in the freezer for 10-20 mins until firm.
Next, melt your chocolate on simmer or a double boiler (careful not to scortch it)
Once melted, take each bar and dip in the melted chocolate. I honestly HATE dipping and messing with melted chocolate ITS SO MESSY And I can never seem to get it really smooth.
So I cheat, I just dip the bottoms then place them on wax paper and take a spoonful and cover the tops and spread. Even though its still not smooth, I really dislike dipping.
Tip: This is why I said use a Glass bowl or measuring cup 🙁
