Healthy isn’t a word thats been in my vocabulary for a long time. I have recently been changing my way of eating and lifestyle in the kitchen. Food has always been a comfort for me, but my health was something that I had to get in check. Eating healthy doesn’t always have to taste as bad as we all think it is. One thing that was hard for me to get rid of, SWEETS! We all love them, and I used to could eat a whole cake by myself (actually sometimes I would), but there is nothing healthy about sweets, but this recipe is something amazing. I was like WOW when I tried it! Heres how to make a cookie that only has 2 ingredients and is probably the healthiest cookie you can get!
Heres what you will need:
2 Ripe Bananas (I only used one here to try it first)
1 cup of quick oats
You can also add any flavorings you would like, I did add a few assorted nuts to some, and cocoa powder to a few too.
Preheat your oven to 350°
First, Place the bananas in a mixing bowl and stir the bananas until completely mashed.
Next, add the oats (along with other flavorings you want to add like cocoa, cinnamon, nuts, etc.)
Far left picture has a tablespoon of Cocoa Powder added
Next, on a greased cookie sheet (I use Rachel Ray cookware so I didn’t have an issue with it sticking) take about one teaspoon to one tablespoon size and dollop onto pan
Instead of mixing them in, I added a few Pecans, Walnuts, & chopped nuts to the top of the cookies.
Next, bake them for 15-20 mins, they will be a little soft, these are not crunchy cookies at all, but you will see the bottom a light golden brown when they’re done.
Now Im not saying that these are better than regular cookies, but to be healthy, no sugar added, quick & easy, they are good. They will definitely help with a sweet craving or chocolate craving.
